HIVEMIND - a shared feed, chat and dev console for Kenshi
https://hivemindrelay.com

No Steam account, no Workshop, no launcher of ours. Two folders in this zip, and you only
need the first one.

BEFORE ANYTHING: RE_KENSHI
==========================
Hivemind is an RE_Kenshi plugin, so you need RE_Kenshi first:
  https://www.nexusmods.com/kenshi/mods/856
Install it, run the game once, close it. Works on Steam and GOG alike.

PIECE 1 - THE MOD (the folder "mods\Hivemind") <- this is the whole dev console
==================================================
Copy the folder "Hivemind" from inside "mods" into your game's mods folder:

    <your Kenshi folder>\mods\Hivemind\

so that Cuneiform.dll ends up at ...\Kenshi\mods\Hivemind\Cuneiform.dll

Then start Kenshi's launcher and tick "Hivemind" in the mod list. That is it.

  Press ENTER in game to open the text line. Type /imacheater and the dev console is on -
  teleport, spawn, kill, sever, heal, cats, game speed. It needs nothing else: no relay,
  no Discord, no account, no network at all.

ALREADY SUBSCRIBED ON STEAM? Then you have a copy already and you must NOT add a second
one - two copies load twice and you get two of everything. Instead copy the FILES from
mods\Hivemind in this zip over the ones in
  Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\233860\3798649464\

PIECE 2 - THE RELAY (the folder "relay") <- only for the shared feed and chat
=================================================
Skip this entirely if you only want the console.

The game has no network code whatsoever. If you want to see other players and talk to
them, this separate program does that part, and you can watch exactly what it sends.

  1. Unzip the "relay" folder anywhere - your Desktop is fine. NOT inside Program Files,
     NOT inside the Kenshi folder.
  2. Get a code: join a room's Discord (the invite is at https://hivemindrelay.com) and
     run /join in that room's channel. The bot answers you privately with a code.
  3. Run HivemindRelay.exe. It finds the mod on its own and prints where. The first time
     it asks three things: turn the feed on? your name? your code?
  4. Leave the window open while you play. Close it when you stop.

Windows may warn about the program because it is not code-signed - signing costs money
this project does not have. Its entire source is in the mod's folder and on the site, and
its whole network life is one address you can read in cuneiform-relay.json.

IN THE GAME
===========
  ENTER opens the text line, ENTER sends, ESC closes.
  /help                lists everything
  /imacheater arms the dev console (then /help shows those too)
  /tp hub teleport - 39 major towns, or places you save yourself
  /spawn bonedog 5 spawn; add "click" and right-click where you want them
  /kill then click the one - it fills the line and ENTER confirms
  /sever right arm it comes off
  /w <person> <text>   whisper      /bet <person> <cats>   dice
  /quiet on            go unannounced

  Up and Down walk what you typed. TAB completes names. Page Up / Page Down scroll.

UPDATING LATER
==============
  Everything again:     https://hivemindrelay.com/download
  Just the mod:         https://hivemindrelay.com/mod       (small)
  Just the relay:       https://hivemindrelay.com/relay
  Replacing the relay, keep your cuneiform-relay.json - it holds your address and settings.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR MACHINE
========================
With the mod alone: nothing. It has no network code.

With the relay running and the feed switched on: the event lines you left on (a name, the
game day, a town, one sentence), the lines you type, and your code. No save name, no folder
path, no Steam id, no account. Log files leave only when you type /reportbugs, with every
user path blanked out first. While the dev console is armed, none of your events go
anywhere at all.

GPL v3. Full source for both pieces ships in the mod's folder and at https://hivemindrelay.com
Kenshi is by Lo-Fi Games. This is an unofficial fan project.
